Jacob + Chelsea
I absolutely loved spending the day with Chelsea and Jacob as they came together with friends and family to tie the knot. When Chelsea first asked me if I was available for her wedding in Findlay. I thought she meant in Findlay Market here in Cincinnati, but I was pleasantly surprised to hear about her backyard wedding at at bed and breakfast in her hometwon of Findlay, Ohio. Which ended up being about 2 hours from me. Not too bad, I just refreshed my memory of the songs I listened too in middle school! it was totally worth it since their wedding day was rustic barn wedding pinterest goals.
I had so much fun getting ready with the bride and her tribe the morning of her wedding. It gave me the chance to really capture the small details. One of my favorite parts of spending the day with Chelsea was that she had stories behind a lot of the elements. The necklace and earrings that Chelsea wore down the aisle were both gift for her mother in law from her late husband.
The care Chelsea took to honor their loved ones and choose these heirloom pieces really help tell the story of her wedding day. I wanted to be sure to take the same care in capturing of it <3
Chelsea chose to do a first look with her father and keep in tradition of saving the first look with her groom to be as she was coming down the aisle. Usually, I am all for first looks, but being able to capture this moment of her and her dad was beyond touching.
LAST CHANCE TO RUN! No running was happening. Just some prayers, laughs and an enthusiastic first kiss.
All of the sweetness! Also, see the last photo right there- gorgeous, right. You have to squint. There is a tractor in the background kicking up dust. No smoke bombs needed here in Findlay. You know it is an Ohio wedding when there is a tractor in the background of your wedding photos. We ran away before it got too close and found a white picket fence and swing set.
Their reception was in the barn at Scarlet Oaks Estate and I am obsessed. All barns need to be open on both sides at all time to let in gorgeous lights and as always give me all of the twinkle lights. Wedding Goals.
& THEN WE DANCED
Venue - Scarlet Oaks Estate
Jauwan + Ava had the most beautiful wedding at The Transept. It was my first time shooting at this venue, and I am pretty obsessed. Plus, I am a sucker for stained glass. What really made their love story complete what that they were married here because it is the same place that they met. Magic. Sounds like a great start to a love story if you ask me.
I cannot believe that Ava + Jauwan are getting married this month! I am so excited to capture their wedding day for them, it is going to be amazing and so full of love. Getting to know you guys and hear your love story was so fun.
I loved second shooting Keith and Ellen's beautiful Catholic wedding at Xavier University. Their day was full of love and joy. Plus - Check out Ellen's dress. STUNNING.
Those first look moments <3
Keith + Ellen had a beautiful catholic ceremony at Bellarmine Chapel on the grounds of Xavier University.
What God joins together, let no one put asunder
CHEERS! Off to Krohns Conservatory to celebrate the reception
I cannot believe how gorgeous Logan + Justin's wedding was at Miami University in Oxford. I was a second shooter for Emily Rochelle Photography and got to spend the first half of my day with the guys. We explored brick street and they killed 20 minutes and got a pint, or two, Don't worry. The littlest had apple juice, but when in Oxford.
According to Miami folklore, couples who kiss at the Upham arch will get married. Since Jordan + Justin met at Miami and will be getting married here as well they will be “Miami Mergers.” Couldn't think of a better place for a first look.
The ceremony was held in the Sesquicentennial Chapel right on campus. Emily and I were swooning over its simple elegance and charm. All of the details came together and their "I dos" were beautiful.

When planning a wedding, you have different puzzle pieces and you do not get to see how they come together until your wedding day, unless of course you schedule a bridal portrait session. Scheduling a bridal portrait shoot with your photographer gives you the opportunity to see exactly how you’ll look and gives you the chance to get excited for your wedding day and the opportunity to tweak anything that doesn't match your initial vision months in advance.
A picture is worth a thousand words and the pictures and your marriage are the only things that last after the last guest goes home. Lets be real for a minute. You spent xxxx on your dress, you researched flowers and color schemes for months and went through 10000 pages on etsy to find the perfect accessories. On your wedding day I am going to capture your love story and the details for sure, but weddings are hectic, timelines are tight and dedicating an entire hour and a half to you and helping you feel bridal is a completely different vibe.
Okay so you're practical like me so you are thinking " yeh, but what do I DO with these stunning shots?" The obvious answer is to do it for you. You deserve to feel stunning and confident, plus when you are 60 you can look back and think "damn I slay." If that still is not practical enough for you. A bridal portrait shoot gives you tangible pictures to have and hold on the wedding day. Why not give a framed picture of you in your gown to your parents, grandparents or flower girl on the day of the wedding? Create an album to store with your dress to give your future bride on her special day?

When my camera is charging you can find me playing with my little family or trying yummy new foods around the city. I promise to tell horrible jokes and will probably be more awkward than you, but by the end of the day we will all be laughing. Which is how I get the real natural smiles that you see in my portfolio!
