I met with the Nuemann family for their lifestyle newborn session at their home in Cincinnati. I couldnt be more excited to meet NoliePoly. She is perfect. Big sister Eloise was living her very best life. She definitely understands when the baby starts crying, the bink goes in!
I met up with the Howard family at their gorgeous home in Lawrenceburg, Indiana to welcome home their 6 week old sweetheart Jamison. Their home sits on gorgeous property, so we decided to capture their family and Jamison's first pictures outdoors. The first few shots we took were in the same camo onesie and bag that his big brother Trey had his baby pictures in <3. After we played, bribed and golfed with the boys just like the Howards' do on most gorgeous summer nights.
I know that newborn sessions are typically done within the first week if not within the first two days of their session, but both mom Krista and Jamison had some healing to do before they were up for a session. I have had quite a few families reach out asking if newborn sessions are still okay if they are unable to come in during the first week. My answer is ALWAYS absolutely. Since I offer lifestyle sessions I am able to capture families in love anywhere and at anytime. So please do not feel pressured to fit your session in during a certain timeline. I am here when you are ready!
Olivia from Baubles to Bubbles and I have worked together for a few different projects and when I she and Joe moved into their condo I love following along while she renovated and decorated their home. So of course I was stoked to do their couples photos. As if the amazing view, floor to ceiling windows and jewel tones weren't enough, Joe told me that their whole building gets a bomb discount on some of the local delicious food which sounds dangerous.
When the two arent eating delicious foods they are snuggling on the couch while reading or having competitive games of boggle. I suggested that they keep constant score on a chalk board so 25 years from now they can see who is the best! :P
If you are thinking of having a couples session I definitely recommend having your pictures taken in your home. It really just tells your story so well and is so sweet.
Thanks for hanging out with me Joe and Olivia!
Give me all of the fandom. I love when parents nerd out on nurseries and Aurora's Totoro nursery did not disappoint. This is 1000% a perfect example of why I love to shoot in home to capture little newborn details.
Decorating the Christmas Tree with the Neumanns was one of my favorite sessions I have done with them. Thier victorian house in Newtown is pretty much my dream Christmas house.
I have photographed a few sessions in their home and literally the first thing I said when I walked in for the first time earlier this year was - this is going to be beautiful at Christmastime. & It was!
Gotta scroll to the end because she blows a kiss!
I get some awesome submissions into my contact form, and there are usually giveaways that let me know that I am going to love my couple. For instance, the Moorehouse contact form had words like "present", "adventuring despite the weather" and asked me to capture their yearly tradition of re-reading their vows and well wishes from the tables from their wedding day. Which is an excellent idea if you are wedding planning!
We started their session off in home, which is forever and always my favorite and then went around the corner to French Park. They are big time hikers so I am thankful they brought me along on a little adventure to capture their story.
When my camera is charging you can find me playing with my little family or trying yummy new foods around the city.
I promise to tell horrible jokes and will probably be more awkward than you, but by the end of the day we will all be laughing. Which is how I get the real natural smiles that you see in my portfolio!
