I met Elizabeth and Braden at Ault Park to capture maternity photos before they become a family of three. They are located in Dayton, so we decided to meet in Cincinnati for their maternity session and I will head to Dayton for their newborn session once their little one arrives. Also, can we talk about how Elizabwth proves that maternity glow is real!
Can't wait to see you guys again here soon!
I met Ben, Erin and her sweet boy Jacob at Ault park in Cincinnati, Ohio for a combo Engagement and family session. I am photographing Ben and Erin's wedding next month and incluided in their package was an engagement session. Since we already met up at Northstar to talk details they knew me already, one of the reasons I recommend an engagement session, but it is always beneficial for me to shoot a couple before their day so on the wedding day we can fall right into sweet poses and they know the flow. Plus I reminded Erin that as moms we absolutely need to get in the frame with our kiddos. Plus Jacob is basically second shooting the wedding for me so I need to make sure we work well together :P
Erin! Make sure you send me some of those great behind the scenes! :P
Olivia from Baubles to Bubbles and I have worked together for a few different projects and when I she and Joe moved into their condo I love following along while she renovated and decorated their home. So of course I was stoked to do their couples photos. As if the amazing view, floor to ceiling windows and jewel tones weren't enough, Joe told me that their whole building gets a bomb discount on some of the local delicious food which sounds dangerous.
When the two arent eating delicious foods they are snuggling on the couch while reading or having competitive games of boggle. I suggested that they keep constant score on a chalk board so 25 years from now they can see who is the best! :P
If you are thinking of having a couples session I definitely recommend having your pictures taken in your home. It really just tells your story so well and is so sweet.
Thanks for hanging out with me Joe and Olivia!
I get some awesome submissions into my contact form, and there are usually giveaways that let me know that I am going to love my couple. For instance, the Moorehouse contact form had words like "present", "adventuring despite the weather" and asked me to capture their yearly tradition of re-reading their vows and well wishes from the tables from their wedding day. Which is an excellent idea if you are wedding planning!
We started their session off in home, which is forever and always my favorite and then went around the corner to French Park. They are big time hikers so I am thankful they brought me along on a little adventure to capture their story.
I have heard so so much about Stephen since he popped into and brightened up miss Nicole's life. It was easy to see how smitten she was and how well they connected during our session <3
I went to meet the Reburns and their pup Charlie for an in home session, just because. Which is the best reason. So this session pretty much combines my favorite things. Documentary photography, pups and photographing people in their home, so I was a happy Kristin.
Even thought they told me they were awkward 100 times we finished their sessions early with a TON of amazing photographs. Since I spent 45 minutes in their gorgeous home loaded with Target and Hobby Lobby finds I figured I could sneak in a solo trip to Hobby Lobby on my way home and was beyond bummed to find they were closed. AHHH
Thanks so much for inviting me into your home, throwing leaves at one another and snuggling in all of the various rooms of your house. <3
Alec emailed me and asked if I would be available to photograph him proposing to Clara at Eden Park. He had everything planned perfectly from the exact gps coordinates to our ninja back story for why I was there so we just had a regular old session for a few minutes. Clara had literally ZERO idea. <3
If you are thinking of proposing you should definitely have a photographer or at the very least a friend nearby to capture it for you.
This session was the PERFECT summer night. We were a little worried because for hours before our session it was raining, but ten minutes before our session the rain stopped, the sun game out, and everything, including Kori, glowed.
Kori and Eric asked me to take photos for them to capture their engagement photos as well as celebrate their pregnancy. :D I really wanted to make sure they had photos that were both distinctly engagement photos and photos that were maternity photos - as a result it is a whole lotta love. <3
When my camera is charging you can find me playing with my little family or trying yummy new foods around the city.
I promise to tell horrible jokes and will probably be more awkward than you, but by the end of the day we will all be laughing. Which is how I get the real natural smiles that you see in my portfolio!
