Twins run in the family, so Lindsay wanted to incorporate a print of her great grandmother holding her mom and aunt. I love the legacy of this picture and the stories that photographs tell.
I love how clean and simple their nursery was. Having two cribs in the room could feel small, but the light bright feel and blue and oranges pop were perfect.

I am so happy to introduce little Jack, 5 days fresh <3
Heidi and Phil invited me into their home to capture pictures of them loving on their sweet little boy, which are my favorite kind of sessions. Everyone was so laid back and relaxed which really helped Jack be comfortable and be his cute little self for me. He was happy, hungry and a great swaddle escapee. I didnt mind the escapes at all though because he had the best poses, holding his chin or flexin' his little muscles :P I love the snuggles that I was able to capture of both mama and dada loving on him. You can just feel how safe and sound he is in their arms.
Of course, we had to include older sister Anna too. Fur babies count!
The Neumann's are the kind of family where they make you instantly feel comfortable. Vic and I were pretty much talking about farts from nursing and all the fun labor details within minutes, which is my kind of session talk, honestly. Capturing the love that she and Kyle both shared not only with each other, but for Eloise was a pleasure. Their whole gallery is full of real laughs, tender looks and I honestly think that hearts were coming out of their eyes like emojis at one point. Their house was full of gorgeous light, real wood, craftsman details and 2 cuddly pups. Larkin, the great dane, is my spirit animal and I had to stop myself from dedicating an entire session to their fur babies. I loved that they incorporated fun and whimsy into Eloise's nursery and of course I am always team potterhead, so I HAD to incorporate all of those fun details into their session. :)
Eloise is one lucky little bundle of sunshine.

I love, love, love Thuy's white minimalist craftsman home. The clean white's, warm greys and subtle pops of color were begging for an in-home newborn session. The love they have for sweet Derek was beautiful and I am so blessed to be able to save this moment in time for them.
Thuy and Ander are lucky enough to have their parents come stay with them from overseas to not only love on sweet Derek, but also to help them get settled. So my mama ears pretty much heard SLEEP! LOL. I love that I was able to capture these special moments for them. There may have been a language barrier, but we all speak the language of love. I heard it loud and clear from these too proud grandparents. <3
Little miss Evelyn Michael is 6 days new and everyone is so excited to welcome her. Evvie did not want to miss a thing and kept her eyes open the entire time. She is one alert little munchkin with a head full of hair and the sweetest little baby noises I have ever heard. Since they are moving into their forever home in a few weeks, we did a super minimalist session, and I love the attention on their love for each other.
Newborn sessions are my favorite. They are just so good for the soul. How lucky am I that I get to capture and preserve these memories for families. <3
When my camera is charging you can find me playing with my little family or trying yummy new foods around the city. I promise to tell horrible jokes and will probably be more awkward than you, but by the end of the day we will all be laughing. Which is how I get the real natural smiles that you see in my portfolio!
