Joan is the youngest of her siblings and when she let me know that her sister was going to be in town we decided to do a session to capture a rare visit where they were reunited. I love that I was able to capture these real laughs as they shared their memories together.
I met up with the Scott family at Miami Whitewater here in Cincinnati, Ohio. When LC and I were deciding our session location, the one thing she mentioned was water. So we adventured and found a few different locations. Including a full on creek expedition at the end. Letting the kids just be kids is my kind of photography, plus the boys were down with our bribes that if they cheesed for a few they could splash in the creek and throw all of the rocks they wanted. I took their family pictures last year too, and I love getting to watch the boys grow. <3
Personal share : I figured as a photographer I should practice what I preach and have family pictures done before I blink and Ella is a toddler. I am so glad I did! Veritas Studio Photography did an awesome job. I'm so happy to have photos with me in them, because I literally have 3k+ of Ella.Which you are well aware of if you follow my personal Instagram :P
Everyone always tells me they want to have pictures done when they hit their goal weight or are more confident. Trust me, I had those thoughts before I scheduled our pictures too, but our littles dont stay little for long.So I am writing this post to say "Just do it." Do it now.
You can always take more later, but you will never have now again. Capture your family 😍 You never know how important a photo might be, until its too late. There are so many great photographers in our community, so if my pictures don't float your boat, that's OK! Find someone whose style you love and then fill your house with pictures of the ones you love!
"shes got grace in her heart and flowers in her hair."
Alyysa, Jessica and I were on our way to another location for our session when we went around a bend and saw this gorgeous field of wild yellow flowers. I am so glad that we were able to pull over and have some fun twirling, laughing and cuddling in the fields, I do not think we could have found another location that fits miss Alyssa so well. I saw a quote as I was pinteresting that just fit her spirit so well - "shes got grace in her heart and flowers in her hair." - She is the perfect mixture of sweet and sass.
Getting to capture these moments for my dear friend means everything. She is a beautiful women who loves her little girl fiercely. She has busted her but to provide a great life for her and this month they are going to move into her first house, and their forever home. <3 I hope these pictures cover your empty walls and fill your house with love.
I had such a great time meeting up with an old friend at Ault park here in Cincinnati, Ohio. Her little one is just a week younger than mine and it was so fun getting to see her as a momma and talking "shop" about our girls and the crazy love we have for them. I loved capturing their little family so that she can remember Ava's baby curls, two tooth smiles and those little shoes. <3
My cousin Tanner and his wife Kristen have gotten pictures done the same weekend in March the past two years. It's so fun to see how much has changed in so little time. Can't wait to see what the next family session brings. We 100% have to get together again before that though, seeing Amelia and Ella "play" together was so fun. <3
when you love all of the photos and so you over share - playing princess <3
I met with Dani, Trey and his amazing kiddos at Ault park. We had such a great time exploring and you can not even tell how absolutely FREEZING it was. Capturing their family photos for the first time was a blast. Plus, I am always team bring puppers to family pictures. <3
When my camera is charging you can find me playing with my little family or trying yummy new foods around the city. I promise to tell horrible jokes and will probably be more awkward than you, but by the end of the day we will all be laughing. Which is how I get the real natural smiles that you see in my portfolio!
